Geological Technician

The opportunity We’re seeking a driven Geological Technician to support our Geotechnical and Hydrogeology team on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth to our site at Cape Preston. As a Geological Technician you will perform geological, hydrogeological & geotechnical duties to an excellent standard, taking ownership of the quality of data collected in the field.

You will assist the Hydrogeologist and Geotechnical engineer with groundwater and surface water sample collection, hydro and geotechnical data collection and system monitoring, so that internal and regulatory groundwater obligations are met. Undertake practical tasks involved in servicing the hydrological and geotechnical aspects of mining operations. In this role you’ll be responsible for: Collection of all geoscientific data to an excellent standard, e.g. ground water, surface water and geotechnical data collection and compilation.
