Milsearch’s Geophysics Department is one of our core departments responsible for locating UXO below the surface utilising an array of geophysical equipment.
The Position
To support our growing volume of UXO remediation projects in Australia and in Southeast Asia, Milsearch is seeking highly motivated Geophysicists to join our team. Positions are available for full-time, part-time, or casual employment.
As a Geophysicist you will be responsible for completing various geophysical surveys in support of our UXO remediation activities alongside our current and experienced team members.
The role of a full-time Geophysicist is broad and varied, but your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Devising creative technical solutions that enable you to effectively complete geophysical surveys for UXO in Australia and abroad.
- Plan, execute and interpret geophysical surveys both onshore and offshore with a focus on obtaining data of the highest quality.
- Manage the geophysical and location equipment resources of Milsearch
- Test and review new technology for UXO search.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in geophysics or earth science from a reputable institution.
- Experience in field geophysical survey operation (preferred).
- Willingness to work across Australia or abroad for an average of eight months a year.
- Current Passport.
- A team player who is focused on results and who has strong analytical skills.
Depending on what formal qualifications the successful candidate holds and their level of relevant employment experience, the full-time Geophysicist position will attract a salary remuneration of AUD$80,000 to $119,999 per annum + superannuation.
