AddressOur client, a large high profile Federal Government Department is looking for 2x Geospatial Analysts for a contract until 30 June 2025 with a possibility to extend by 2x12 months. In this role you will perform the following tasks but not limited to:
- Requirements gathering, research, and analysis.
- Deploying and administering GIS environments (ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, Geospatial Server).
- Maintaining and designing systems and applications.
- Collaborating with architects, developers, modellers, and testers.
- Conceptual and Contextual Modelling.
- Process Modelling and Definition.
- Developing System/Functional Requirements.
- Contributing to spatial metadata standards and architecture models.
- Managing and analyzing incidents/problems.
- Developing GIS systems architecture in Enterprise environment.
- Supporting cross-functional IT projects reliant on GIS.
- Staying updated on new GIS technologies and recommending innovative solutions.
- Providing input into Architectural documentation (Solution, Security).
- Participating in 24x7 support, including on-call rotations.
- Strong experience in ArcGIS.
- Proficiency in SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop, and IBM IIB/MQ for geospatial data storage and exchange
- Project management skills
- Strong grasp of security issues and processes in classified ICT environments
- Understanding of security environment, protocols, and data standards
- Familiarity with the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM).
- NV1 security clearance or ability to obtain one.
