Entech is now seeking applications for a Geotechnical Consultant based out of its Perth office. You will ideally possess recent industry experience and are looking for your next technical challenge!

Located in Perth, Tauranga, Vancouver and Toronto, Entech has a global reach to many exciting and challenging mining projects.
Reporting to the Principal Geotechnical Consultant, the Geotechnical Consultant will undertake a variety of studies across open pit and/or underground deposits, from new to mature mines. The role will require occasional travel to sites, across a wide variety of projects, commodities, mine sites and locations in support of our client’s projects.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Manage field data collection programs including geotechnical logging (domain geotechnical logging, structure orientation measurement and characterisation), sample selection/packaging/dispatch, underground and open pit geotechnical mapping.
- Perform rockmass characterisation, undertake geotechnical assessments for UG and/or OP mines.
- Technical support to operating minesites.
- Perform engineering analysis using industry best practices.
- Preparation of detailed engineering reports.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Occasional travel will be required to mine and project sites.
Skills and experience:
- Degree in Geological Engineering, Mining or Civil Engineering, or postgraduate qualifications in Mining Geomechanics or equivalent.
- 2-5 years’ Geotechnical Engineering experience. Open pit or Underground geotechnical experience will be considered and asset, however graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Attention to detail and enthusiastic.
- Consulting experience is preferred but not essential.
- Competence with geotechnical software packages including Rocscience suite, proficiency in mining software packages i.e. Surpac, Deswik will be viewed favourably, but not essential.
