They are seeking an experienced GIPA Officer to join their team on a temporary full-time basis until June 2024.
Your new role
As a GIPA Officer, you will be responsible for provision of technical advice and effective access to information under the Government and Public Access Act (GIPA) and associated legislation.
- attend to formal applications from member of the community and other stakeholders for documentation held in Council records
- maintain appropriate records of all applications received and prepare correspondence as required under the GIPA
- attend to requests from the Public Officer for the retrieval of files, records and other documentation
- respond to enquiries and investigations arising out of privacy referrals and statutory review requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- knowledge and experience using Government Information Public Access (GIPA)
- experience using software systems such as TRIM and Microsoft
- experience in processing access to information applications and in particular the retrieval of files
- high level of customer service and ability to meet tight deadlines
What you'll get in return
- temporary full time assignment until end of June 2024
- $44 per hour + super
- located in Parramatta with hybrid working arrangements
