We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated GIS Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing GIS support to our team of ecologists and environmental advisors, collaborating on projects and using their skills to enhance our services.
About the role
- Creating, managing and analysing spatial data using GIS software.
- Conducting spatial analysis to support ecological assessments and impact studies.
- Preparing and presenting maps, figures and data for reports and presentations.
- Managing and maintaining the GIS database and ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Providing GIS support to the wider team.
About You
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Environmental Science or a related field, or a minimum of 2-years on the job experience.
- Proficiency in GIS software, preferably QGIS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with ecological data and environmental assessments is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is a full-time role; however, a part-time position would be considered for the right candidate. The position is based in our office at Bennetts Green, however remote working may be considered.
