What this job involves

The Global Account Director (GAD) is the key interface between our Global Client and JLL and will effectively utilise and access required resources to ensure our client’s needs are met at all times.

The GAD is a senior JLL professional who has responsibility for developing and maintaining a “Trusted Partner” relationship with our Client and driving growth in the relationships across the JLL business globally.  Relationships may extend beyond our Client’s property group into their broader organisation, and relevant third parties.

The GAD is accountable for performance of the Contract between our Client and JLL including:


  • Contract Management and Governance;
  • Facilities and Property Management, including shared support services;
  • Portfolio and Strategic Management Services;
  • Financial Management and Reporting
  • Management Information Systems;
  • Additional Services (as and when required by DFAT);
  • Oversight of any Out-of-Scope Services provided to DFAT by JLL.

The position will be based in Canberra and be the key point of contact for all strategic and governance issues for DFAT’s Executive Director, Overseas Property Office (OPO), Assistant Secretary Portfolio Management Branch, Assistant Secretary Strategy Branch, Post senior stakeholders and JLL Executive and Senior Management.  You will have overall responsibility for ensuring the JLL Global Account Team is adequately resourced, trained and supported to deliver the full scope of contracted services

  • Possess the ability to work across multiple, matrix reporting environments and delegate appropriately, holding people accountable for delivery and recognising achievements;
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing situations;
  • Have a proven ability to initiate and follow through with improvement initiatives

Note you must be an Australian citizen in order to gain and maintain necessary security clearances
