Full Time, Fixed Term until August 2024
HEW 5 ($74,095 - $ 78,634) + 17% Superannuation and Hybrid Working Arrangements
Based at the Melbourne CBD campus
About You
The Global Experience Officer is responsible for supporting and promoting a range of innovative Global Experience programs including Exchange, Study Tours and overseas work placements. These programs are designed to inspire our commitment to equip all student with the cultural intelligence required to tackle the global challenges of the 21st century. This will be achieved through providing efficient and effective day-to-day administrative support to Global Experience coordinators and managers.
This position provides general advice and support to key stakeholders, including students, external and internal stakeholders by phone, online and face-to-face, escalating more complex enquiries as required. The position is required to assist Global Experiences with the promotion, admission, preparation and completion of our Global Experience programs and events. The incumbent will also provide broad administrative support for the office and events.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have some of the below experience or skills:
Experience in a customer service environment role handling administrative tasks
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and sensitively in cross cultural contexts
Ability to negotiate and resolve problems
Demonstrated organisational and time management skills including ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities to complete tasks in a timely manner with attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated ability and capacity to engage new technologies, ability to use and learn relevant software and systems and proficiency using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets.
Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively as a member of a team and to work with minimum supervision.
Experience studying or working outside of Australia and/or fluency in a foreign language, would be advantageous

The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University’s strategies related to RMIT’s academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.
