Reporting to Production Superintendent, the successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of all GOLD ROOM operations including the acacia reactor, elution circuits, and regeneration of carbon and smelting.

The Key Tasks of the role include:

• Organising the smelting and gold pick up schedules.
• Carry out all Gold Room, Elution circuits, Regeneration of Carbon, Smelting and Cropping duties and supervise others.
• Trouble-shooting all Gold Room processes. 
• Identifying and managing risks to the Gold Room Elution area. 
• Secure Gold Room assets from misuse/theft encompassing gold and equipment. 
• Coordinate rostering of annual leave for subordinates.
• Initiating Gold Room projects to either improve gold recovery, increase equipment reliability or reduce costs.
• Report GOLD ROOM logs and operational data to the Metallurgical Department. Complete end of month reporting on all gold poured. 
• Carry out sufficient strips to keep GIC at a constant level. 
• Carry out daily inspections of work areas.
• Assist in the development of security procedure and ensure these are adhered to on a daily basis.
• Carry out plant isolations for all maintenance work.
• Assist in the training of other personnel as required.
• Any other duties as required.

The ideal applicant will have:

• Current unrestricted “C” class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
• Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable).
• Satisfactory NPC clearance.
• Fork Lift Licence

WORK KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of gold extraction and processing 3 years
• Knowledge of theoretical and applied chemistry in wet assay 
• Familiar with Titration technique
• Analytical and problem solving abilities 
• Basic report writing skills 
• Understanding & management of security measures and processes.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal methods; 
• Ability to engage, motivate and persuade all levels of stakeholders.
