Golf Course Groundsman - Vic

Position Overview:

We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic, hands-on Grounds Person / Trade assistant to work with our Golf Course maintenance team in the Melbourne Northeast region. This is a full-time position, with all fulltime benefits attached. The role may also require additional rostered weekend work. Your contributions will add value to the overall experience of our members and guests.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Prior experience working within the Golf course or Landscaping industry is Preferred, but not essential for this role.
• Hold relevant Class C driver’s license and transport.
• Demonstrate effective team management skills, including the ability to work alongside other professional colleagues.
• Demonstrate an exceptional eye for detail across all facets of Golf Course management/maintenance.
• Follow Workplace Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures, contributing to a safe working environment.
• Actively engage in promoting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining open lines of communication with management.

Responsibilities:

• Championing open communication and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
• Working autonomously when necessary, following instructions and maintaining high standards of work.
• Adhering to Workplace Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures at all times.
• Accurately documenting completed tasks and entering relevant data.
• Regular mowing of greens, fairways, and rough areas using specialized equipment.
• Trimming and edging grass along walkways, bunkers, and other designated areas.
• Planting and maintaining ornamental plants, trees, and shrubs around the course to enhance its aesthetic appeal.
