Golf Services Management, operators of the Pakenham Golf Course are looking to hire a team of chefs.
The Roles:
As a Short Order Cook you will be a vital part of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast, café and lunch dishes with precision and speed. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that each dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure will make you an integral part of our culinary success.
Responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and cook menu items, including burgers, sandwiches, eggs, and more, according to established recipes.
- Coordinate with servers to prioritize and fulfill customer orders promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure that all dishes meet our quality and presentation standards.
- Work efficiently, multitask, and adapt to changing order volumes.
About You:
Experience within a similar role will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience as a Short Order Chef or line cook in a similar setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers.
- A passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional food.

The applicable award for this position is the Amusements, Events & Recreation Award – and level of remuneration will be based on experience.
This role will include weekend and public holiday work.
