This is a unique opportunity to join a leading Brisbane based ASX listed company and a highly regarded Governance, Risk and Assurance team. You will play an important part in delivering the team purpose of:
- Providing confidence in business outcomes;
- Driving continuous improvement; and
- Raising risk, control and governance capability across the business
Reporting to the Manager Enterprise Governance & Control, this role would provide specialist advice to support the business in maintaining, monitoring, and improving a simplified, fit for purpose governance management framework, including compliance assurance and continuous improvement of the framework that support a cost competitive service delivery. You will have exposure to frontline leaders as well as Group Executives where you'll have the opportunity to hone your influencing skills and your ability to sell your specialised governance, control, and risk mitigation ideas.
Exposure to the diverse processes of this ASX-listed company, coupled with active involvement in their improvement, hones adaptability, problem-solving and strategic skills. This experience positions you as a valuable asset, adept at navigating complexities and driving efficiency in dynamic business environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide support and specialist advice to business leaders in relation to the development and updating of organisational governance documents like policies, standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with legal requirements and organisational objectives.
- Manage and enhance governance frameworks through appropriate reporting and online mechanisms.
- Conduct regular reviews/audits to ensure compliance with relevant policy standards and key business processes.
- Identify inefficiencies in existing workflows / processes and support the business with the enhancements and continuous improvement thereof.
- Execute and/or support activities related to whistleblower investigations and conflict of interest processes.
- Drive and support continuous improvement and be an advocate for governance, control and risk processes through coaching and supporting others in understanding, improving, and applying the governance framework.

We're a none-hierarchical team, so you'll be motivated by seeing ideas put into practice and having an impact, rather than positions of status and spans of control.
You'll have a minimum 5 years governance, risk or assurance experience either gained in a professional services environment or industry / commerce. Candidates combining a risk and governance background with special investigation and/or whistleblower investigation experience, will be of particular interest.
