AddressCQ Medicentre are seeking experienced practice nurses to join our practices in the heart of Rockhampton. With two locations both offering a full range of general practice services in well-equipped facilities, we’re needing part-time or casual nurses to work across either location, depending on current needs.
We have vacancies for either Registered or Enrolled Nurses who will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, fellow nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff. You will work closely with other team members to coordinate care, share knowledge, and optimise patient outcomes.
Typical Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Patient triage and prioritisation of emergency situations
- Administering vaccines
- Post vaccination observations and monitoring
- Health Assessments & Chronic Disease Management
- Assisting GPs with minor procedures
- Managing a treatment room including wound care, dressings, and removal of sutures
- Coordination, management, and maintenance of patient clinical data including recalls
- Health education to support patients with achievement of their goals

What you need to be successful:
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Previous experience in General Practice
- Demonstrated outstanding work ethic, organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
Experience with the following would be highly regarded, but not required: Best Practice software; developing Health Assessments and CDM plans; experience in spirometry, audiometry, ECG, and childhood immunisations.
