Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

Are you a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys interesting, diverse, and challenging cases? We offer interesting and manageable caseloads, a four-day working week, an excellent support structure and no on-call requirements!

At Peninsula Vet Care, you will be part of and supported by our team of 5 GP clinics, and our 24/7 specialist referral hospital; offering specialist care in surgery, medicine, emergency, critical care and anaesthesia. A fun, exciting, supported, challenging and rewarding veterinary career awaits.

Peninsula Vet Care is incredibly proud to be the largest provider of quality veterinary services on the Mornington Peninsula.

Our team is supported by nearly 60 vets and more than 80 nurses, all of whom are dedicated to caring for and improving the lives of our patients, our clients, and the communities we are a part of.

OUR LOCATION

Our location is the scenic Mornington Peninsula, a holiday destination for many and considered 'nature's playground.' Famed for well-known wineries, breweries, restaurants, cafes, and markets year-round, from beaches to bushlands and farmlands, it is an ideal area for those who enjoy a flexible lifestyle. 

We are only a 60-minute drive from Melbourne and our hospitals are located close to the Mornington Peninsula freeway for easy access.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Through your role as a small animal Veterinary Surgeon, you will see interesting, diverse, and challenging cases.

We offer a unique environment with roles within each of our five general practice hospitals tailored for vets to develop and grow their area of interest, with further opportunities for hybrid roles and additional training within our emergency and referral hospital.

Based at our Rosebud Hospital, you will be supported by, and enjoy working alongside our trusted team of vets and nurses, your mentor and your practice manager.

Beyond your team within your hospital, you will also have the support network of other Veterinary Surgeons

  • 4 years plus experience as in small animal practice

  • Has the qualifications to obtain registration to work in Victoria
