Full-Time permanent position
The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital has a unique opportunity for a dedicated pharmacist with sound clinical knowledge to join our experienced pharmacy team as a Full TimeClinical Pharmacist on a permanent ongoing contract. This position will offer you the opportunity to further develop clinical, organisational and people skills in a niche specialist public hospital setting. The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear hospital has recently completed a major redevelopment which includes a brand new pharmacy department.
The Clinical Pharmacist role is a rotational position with key responsibilities to provide a ward and emergency department based clinical service, assisting with medication reconciliation and charting on admission, dispense specialised medicines and contribute to delivering a high quality, safe and efficient pharmacy service for our specialist hospital. On-call roster participation is included as part of the regular roster to support patient care outside of standard business hours.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia as a practising pharmacist (no restrictions)
- Previous experience working as a Clinical Pharmacist in a hospital pharmacy setting
- Sound clinical pharmacy skills, knowledge and experience
- Experienced in responding to medicines information enquiries from other health professionals
- Interested in developing clinical skills in the key specialist fields of ophthalmology and ENT
