About the Role
Are you an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist looking for a dynamic and supportive workplace and regular shifts for the next year?
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic physiotherapist to join a cohesive and progressive integrated team, committed to excellence in clinical practice, research and professional development.
Must have, or be currently eligible for, National Physiotherapist Registration.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join the SVHM physiotherapy department on a part-time, permanent basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high quality, overall physiotherapy management to the orthopaedic outpatients, including groups and hydrotherapy classes. This position also may be required to assist with inpatients admitted to the orthopaedic, rheumatology and plastics units of the Fitzroy campus of SVHM.
This Grade 2 position will ideally be working 3 days each week, however, for the right applicant, these shifts may be negotiated differently.
Classifications for this position will range from Physiotherapist Grade 2 VB1 – VB4 ($86,730 - $99,699 per annum, pro rata for part time).
Duties
Provide appropriate clinical management for all musculoskeletal outpatients
Assessment, planning and treatment including education for all musculoskeletal outpatients
Communicate assessment and treatment outcomes to nursing, medical and other Allied Health staff via documentation and handovers.
Clinical supervision and teaching of physiotherapy students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, as required
Your Contribution
Recent workplace experience in and knowledge of physiotherapy management in an acute health care setting, particularly musculoskeletal.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications are highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of and commitment to continuous quality improvement
Experience with student supervision.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain.
