About the Psychology Department
The Psychology Department, Allied Health Division, consists of experienced and supportive Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Neuropsychologists providing services to a range of programs across Austin Health.
About this role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our rehabilitation team. The role involves provision of neuropsychological assessment, therapeutic intervention, behaviour support, and psychoeducation to patients within with neurological, orthopaedic, spinal and chronic health conditions. The position works closely within multidisciplinary teams to provide a high quality, evidence based service to improve patient outcomes. The Psychology Department and Allied Health Division offer a highly engaged and supportive environment, excellent opportunities for ongoing professional development and clinical supervision. This is a permanent 0.4 EFT (2 days a week) position.
About you
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
- A Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Neuropsychology, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Psychology Board of Australia and endorsement as a Clinical Neuropsychologist.
- A minimum of 5 years experience and AHPRA approved supervisor status.
- A demonstrated capacity to conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation interventions with patients with complex and chronic medical conditions.
- High level interpersonal skills that promote teamwork and engagement.
- An ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to support best-practice clinical outcomes.
