Our Werribee campus has grown significantly over the past 2 years and continues to provide excellent clinical care to its patients. St Vincent's Private Werribee has now planned to expand its services opening 3 new clinical treatment areas in the next 6 months including a 14-bed rehabilitation service and expansion of its theatre complex.
We are recruiting for a Full-time or part-time Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health team. This position will involve working clinically primarily across our rehabilitation and orthopaedic in-patient units. You will have the opportunity to provide leadership throughout the hospital and contribute to quality improvement projects that focus on better outcomes for patients and staff.
The in-patient services available at our Werribee campus include orthopaedic, cardiology, ear nose and throat, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, general surgery, vascular, rehabilitation and oncology/infusions. Facilities include operating theatres, a day procedure unit, oncology/infusion unit, a cardiac catheter laboratory, and a rehabilitation gymnasium.
ABOUT YOU:
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
- Have s, clinical skills and experience relevant for acute in-patient orthopaedic patient care and rehabilitation Occupational Therapy
- Well developed interpersonal skills and effective communication skills and practices with a high level of integrity and professionalism
- Have the ability to identify clinical risk and implement strategies to minimise risk
- Be motivated to traini and mentori others including students (preferred)
