Grade 3 Physiotherapist- Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner

- Based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH), Parkville
The Royal Melbourne Hospital Physiotherapy service is made up of over 130 staff providing services across the City Campus in Parkville and the Royal Park Campus. An exciting opportunity exists for a highly experienced and motivated Physiotherapist to contribute to Advanced Practice clinics including the Back Assessment Clinic (BAC), Osteoarthritis Hip and Knee Service (OAHKS), Shoulder and soft tissue screening Services– initiatives of the Elective Surgery Reform Program.
This Grade 3 Musculoskeletal and Advanced practice Physiotherapy position will sit within the Musculoskeletal team at RMH and provide effective team leadership, ensure strong clinical governance and provide clinical expertise and excellent patient care in the musculoskeletal outpatients and advance practice physiotherapy roles at RMH.
Your new role:
- Provide clinical excellence across RMH Musculoskeletal and Advanced Practice Physiotherapy services.
- Foster positive team and workplace culture as a key leader across our musculoskeletal outpatient services.
- Work collaboratively across Allied Health, Orthopaedics and other speciality medical/surgical services.
- Demonstrate a multi-disciplinary health care approach that achieves desired patient outcomes.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership of the Physiotherapy service across musculoskeletal and Advanced Practice Physiotherapy services to ensure evidence based best practice and contemporary models of care.
About you:
- You are a clinical expert in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy patient management (minimum 7 years’ experience and post-graduate musculoskeletal qualifications).
- You have previous experience in Advanced Practice Physiotherapy roles with expertise in spinal assessment and management.
- You demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are able to work autonomously in a healthcare setting.
- You have high-level organisational and team leadership skills with a track record of driving change within a complex health care environment.
