The opportunity on offer
As our Graduate Architect, you will assume a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operational administration and providing essential support to our architecture department. You’ll provide technical assistance to your colleagues, ensuring smooth functionality within our design systems. Your growing expertise will be crucial in optimising our technology resources to enhance our architectural practice.
Reporting into the Architectural Design Lead, your key responsibilities will include:
· Producing design concepts in partnership with our Business Development team;
· Assisting in developing town planning and construction documentation;
· Explore and implement finishes preparations and interior fitouts;
· Assisting in the preparation of presentations, drawings, and documentation for client meetings and project proposals;
· Participating in site visits and inspections to monitor the construction progress and ensure design intent is maintained;
· Supporting the coordination of project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet project milestones; and
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve design issues and optimise project outcomes.
A bit about you
Possessing a keen interest in the industrial and commercial construction sectors, you enjoy seeing projects come to life from beginning to end. Your innate ability to collaborate effectively makes you well-suited for our dynamic, fast-paced environment, where you will provide support to the Design team to provide optimal outcomes for our projects.
As a key contributor to the architectural and design practices of our business and as a valued member of our team, we are seeking candidates with the following experience/qualifications:
· 3-5 years’ relevant work experience within the industrial/commercial industry, preferably through an Architectural firm;
· Relevant tertiary qualification (Post or Undergraduate);
· Skilled at using REVIT and AutoCAD to produce detailed construction, planning and sketch documentation (essential);
· An understanding of Australian construction processes, systems and facility detailing and a strong understanding of the BCA, National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards;
· Strong at analysing and problem-solving capabilities;
· A self-motivated team player with a positive can-do attitude and passion for what you do;
· Great work ethic and strong communication skills to effectively engage and communicate with clients, sub-contractors, consultants, authorities, and building contractors; and
· Highly organised with the ability to work on various projects at different stages to meet project commitments on-time and on-budget.
