About the Role
We have opportunities for recent mechanical or electrical engineering graduates to join JBS Australia at our Dinmore, Riverina and Rockhampton Sites.
The JBS Graduate Engineer’s program is a comprehensive four-year program. You will work in a real job with significant responsibilities reporting to the Site Engineer, with interaction with the Group Engineers. You will:
- Follow structured on-site learning modules in topics such as refrigeration, steam and electrical systems with mentoring from experienced engineers;
- Follow structured non-technical development via the Engineering Education Australia Graduate Program;
- Undertake projects set by the senior engineering team designed to challenge you with increasing complexity;
- Complete rotations through the key areas of our business; and
- Receive support to obtain Chartered (CPEng) Status.
This is a hands-on role working closely with plant operations and maintenance personnel. Your work will be demanding yet rewarding as you will provide process and product improvement as well as assistance to the maintenance teams to optimise safety, quality, equipment availability and reliability outcomes to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of our plant.
About You
- Hold recognised tertiary qualifications in mechanical or mechatronics
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Competent computer skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- A sound understanding of OH&S
- Strong people and leadership skills
