Graduate or Junior Geotechnical Engineer required.
We are located in Yarraville, Victoria, with projects throughout Victoria and Southern NSW.
This is a great opportunity to be involved in interesting projects with a good balance of fieldwork and office-based work.
What we do
Our focus is on the following project types:
- Bridge investigations.
- Landslides, cliff instability, coastal instability.
- Larger scale multi-residential developments in difficult ground.
- Commercial sites (warehouses, factories etc).
- Ground improvement (dynamic compaction, high energy impact compaction, lime/cement stabilisation).
- Pile testing (Pile Integrity Testing, Dynamic Load Testing).
- Seismic investigations (Multi-channel Analysis of Surface Waves).
- Sinkholes and cave/karst instability.
The wide range of projects we work on provides great learning opportunities and keeps things interesting. Training and support will be provided.
What you will need
- Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology degree.
- Willingness to work outside in a variety of conditions following safe working procedures.
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home, sometimes in remote places.
- Be comfortable organising others (subcontractors) and talking to site personnel (site project managers, foremen etc).
- Be comfortable problem solving and discussing issues in person and over the phone.
- Have a valid driver license.
