Soil Test Express is a Geotechnical Engineering company and will specialise in residential and commercial soil testing, which will include a whole range of geotechnical assessments and investigations.
About the role
We require a Professional Geotechnical Engineer with minimum 5 years field experience in the residential and commercial sector. You will be visiting building sites and conducting site investigations/inspections, site classifications and reporting and obtaining soil samples using a drill rig and hand tools.
Duties of this role will include:
- Fieldwork execution and reporting
- Obtain and classify soil samples using a drill rig and hand tools in accordance with Australian Standards
- Conduct foundation and retaining wall inspections if needed
- AHD and spot level surveys
- Percolation testing
- DCP testing
- Liaise with clients on the phone, in person and via email
Skills and experience
The successful candidate must have:
- A Qualification in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering
- Must be registered with BLA & NER
- 5 years Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Standards
- Physical fitness to allow you to operate a drill rig, hand tools, DCP kit etc.
- A manual drivers license
- A valid white card
