THE ROLE –
- To establish and strengthen linkages and protocols with government and non-government agencies.
- To Identify and assess all levels of family violence risk.
- Provides high quality, safe and effective responses to women, children and families seeking support and safety from family violence.
- To work within The Orange Door network as part of a multi-disciplinary team of practitioners to maintain an effective and responsive service.
- Will provide the graduate with support and guidance to develop their skills and knowledge for the role of Hub Practitioner.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE – what you will bring. -
- An understanding of the social and political issues impacting women and children escaping family violence.
- The ability to engage people who are experiencing or have experienced family violence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to receive referrals into the Orange Door program and actively engage in crisis response, intake and initial assessment.
- Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence |Working with Children Check |Police Check
- A tertiary qualification is required in Social Work (preferred) or appropriate qualification, as per Royal Commission Recommendation 209 – Mandatory Minimum Qualifications for Specialist FV Workers and experience relevant to this position.
