Our Perth office was established in 2016 by one of Perth's most experienced liquidator's and due to continued growth, Worrells Perth is seeking a Graduate Accountant to join their dynamic team of insolvency and restructuring professionals.
The candidate will have recently graduated in accounting, commerce or similar or be qualifying at the end of 2024 but capable of working at least 3 days per week now with a view to commencing full time in 2025.
The Team
Lead by one of Perth’s most experienced Liquidators, our team are experts in their field who enjoy the challenge of undertaking voluntary administration, liquidation, receivership and restructuring engagements.
The Opportunity
This role will see you working with a close-knit team, ensuring that you get practical experience on the job training at the highest level.
Your role will require you to conduct day-to-day work on various insolvency appointments. Your wide range of day-to-day tasks will include:
- Writing reports and correspondence to stakeholders
- Analysing entities’ financial position and the cause of their businesses’ failure
- Identifying, collecting and assisting with the sale of various types of assets
- Assisting with the management of businesses being traded during insolvency appointments
- Investigating potential breaches and misconduct
- Various other tasks relating to winding up or restructuring insolvent entities
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or similar
- Candidate must be an Australian Citizen or hold permanent residency status
- High academic achiever
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A team focused attitude with a confident and friendly personality
- Strong Computer Skills
- An interest in Corporate Insolvency
