You will assist in the identification and implementation of cost-effective solutions, contributing to the council's goal of achieving best value for money as well as understand and adhere to the council's procurement processes, governance, and compliance requirements, and assist other staff members in doing the same.To view the Position Description, pleaseAbout YouWe are seeking an individual who holds a Diploma-level qualification (or higher) in procurement, tendering, contracts, or similar related qualification, or willing to obtain and has a Current NSW Drives Licence.You will have the following skills and experience;
- Minimum of three (3) years' work experience in procurement, tendering, and contract management, including interpretation of associated legislation and guidelines.
- Solid understanding of local government operations and the implications of these activities on public sector governance and legislative compliance relevant to procurement and contracts.
- Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office, and data and record management software systems.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders and government agencies.
- $1412.00 per week base salary
- $155.32 per week superannuation (calculated at 11%)
