The Role
We are looking for a Graduate Registered Nurse who is passionate about a person-centered approach to care, to provide the highest quality residential aged care in environments that are rich with the senses of home.
You must be dedicated to working and understanding the residential aged care environment and standards. We have a range of shifts available and a culture of high-level empathy and compassion for our residents.
The LocationHarden, New South Wales, is a charming and vibrant town known for its unique blend of natural beauty and rich heritage. Nestled in the picturesque Hilltops region, it offers stunning countryside views and a relaxed rural lifestyle. The town boasts a welcoming community, excellent local produce, and various cultural events, making it a great place to live for those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Located within 90 minutes proximity to the Australian Capital Territory (Canberra) and close to the regional city of Wagga Wagga, as well as being near the wine-producing regions of the Hilltops and Riverina, Harden is an ideal base for exploring a diverse range of nearby experiences and landscapes.
What you will do
The Graduate Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring:
- Holistic assessment in partnership with residents and their representatives
- Development and evaluation of individualised resident care plans
- Supervise and support Personal Care Workers
- Clinical care including wound management, palliative care, and medication management
- Liaison with medical and allied healthcare staff
- Provision of safe, high-quality care in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Positive resident experience through a resident-first approach
- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse is essential
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Hold and maintain NDIS Worker Checks as per NDIS Act 2013 (or willing to obtain)
- Be passionate about delivering a person-centered approach to care
Hours: Full-time 76 hours per fortnight
