We are looking for a dynamic candidate with a passion for designing and delivering excellent user experiences, engagement events, and learning programs for UTS students.
This role would suit a recent graduate with experience in Client Service delivery, student clubs or representatives, and an interest in libraries. Alternatively, this is a great opportunity for someone with library experience to develop their user experience and service design skills. Our ideal candidate would be curious and keen to bring fresh ideas to all aspects of the student experience. You will be a fast learner, tech savvy and have excellent collaboration and organisational skills.

Why your role is important
The Specialist, Client Experience, initiates and supports the development, design, operation, promotion and evaluation of client, enquiry, and resource delivery services. It provides excellent, reliable, flexible, and responsive services that meet the needs of UTS students, staff, and community. This role is based in theStudent Learning Hub.
The Client Servicesand Access department provides high quality, innovative, client-focused services to UTS students, staff, and community. The department is responsible for the management and delivery of a range of services including onsite and online enquiries, student programs and events, membership, and physical and digital delivery of library resources. As the face of the Library, Client Servicesand Access ensures that the Library is welcoming and Accessible to clients.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Work collaboratively in and across teams and units to improve and deliver high quality Client Services
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external University stakeholders in order to collaborate and deliver comprehensive Library services.
- Work independently to investigate user and system requirements and draw upon high-level knowledge to assist Library stakeholders with complex enquiries or specialist services.
- Contribute to and make best use of the collection of research and data analytics that supportenhanced decision-making as part of continuous improvement.
- Contribute to and support projects, involving changes related to Library functions which may impact on other areas of the institution.
- Maintain system configurations and analytical dashboards for Library services and enquiries management platforms.
With examples, please outline within your Cover Letter, how you meet the following five (5) key selection criteria points below:
- Relevant degree with subsequent relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills that enable engagement, collaboration and relationship building with all Library and UTS stakeholders in both face-to-face and online environments.
- Effective organisational and time management skills with the capacity to work efficiently under pressure, balancing multiple priorities to ensure goals are met, timelines are realised, and outcomes are delivered in line with client expectations.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to a positive team environment and working collaboratively and independently to achieve department and Library goals.
- Significant knowledge of the operationalisation of services and programs within Library or student experience settings, including high level understanding of relevant policy and technologies and their application.
The successful candidate will also be required to obtain a Working with Children check.
Remuneration
Base Salary Range: Base Salary Range: $80,044 to $91,570 pa (HEW 5)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time, and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
