Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.

The Role
Elecnor Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Project Surveyor to join the team on a 14/7 roster in Buronga (close to Mildura) or Wagga Wagga. This opportunity could suit a local candidate or someone interested in a FIFO opportunity.
As a Graduate Project Surveyor, you will work with a diverse multidisciplinary team, cohesively delivering Project EnergyConnect.
You will be responsible for project surveying and survey-related early works activities for the transmission line.
This is a significant opportunity to contribute to one of the nation’s largest energy infrastructure projects in an exciting and rewarding role.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Surveying fieldwork
- Learn to set out
- Learn to measure and mark out
- Assisting with investigations, the gathering of data and report writing
- Learn to prepare plans from field survey data
- Learn to computing survey data
- Learn to complete surveys in an efficient and professional manner
- Accurate record-keeping of job progress
- Pre-organise job requirements (plans, field notes, dwg files) and pre-calculations if necessary
- Implement controls documented for all specified tasks
- Maintaining equipment
- Maintaining professional development and training
- Continuous improvement activities
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
