About the team

The Group Treasury team acts as the in-house “banker” to our businesses, supporting them with daily banking and liquidity; management of foreign exchange, interest rate and commodity risk; and working capital efficiency.

In addition, the team is responsible for corporate balance sheet management, particularly in relation to long-term funding, dividend policy, capital management; maintaining strong relationships with the Group’s funding providers and rating agencies; and ensuring financial risk management objectives are met. The team also supports the Wesfarmers’ Group acquisition and divestment activities.

What you’ll do

Reporting to our Assistant Treasurer, this role will:

  • Establish strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Assist in the preparation of month end reports
  • Assist in daily cash management activities as required
  • Collaborate with our Treasury team on projects and initiatives

What you’ll need

  • Tertiary qualification in a Commerce or related discipline (excellent academic results, with a weighted average mark of 70% or higher)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Great personal awareness and strong collaboration and influencing abilities
  • The ability to write clearly and speak articulately
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and reasoning skills
  • Outstanding initiative and determination to persist through challenges
  • A genuine desire for continuous learning
  • An curious mindset!

Nice to have’s

  • Exposure to financial analysis and reporting
  • Previous work experience, relevant to the role otherwise is desirable but not essential
