We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in the grain industry to join our newly established team at Tabbita, on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the opportunity:
Our dedicated Grain Handlers support local growers and customers by receiving, storing, maintaining and out-loading grain.
About the role:
Reporting to the Site Manager, the role will include:
- Safe operation of machinery and equipment
- Grain handling related activities
- Tarp operations – laying groundsheets and covering grain bunkers with tarps
- Recording and entering weights from weighbridge
- Storing and protecting grain in bunker storage
- General housekeeping activities on site including maintaining site hygiene in accordance with Company policies and procedures
About you:
- Previous experience in a similar role (people with backgrounds in either agriculture, logistics, trades or construction are encouraged to apply)
- Current drivers’ licence
- A high regard for safe working practices
- Strong attention to detail
- Above average communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a team environment with concentrated workload in seasonal periods
- Competent in confined space, work at heights and chemical handling (advantageous)
