AddressCOLAB DESIGN GROUP is now hiring for an in-house junior Graphic Designer, who will also assist with live client projects and some marketing activities.
You’ll be based in our Head Office in Milperra, South West Sydney and as the Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant, you’ll be part of a team who consistently builds and delivers high-quality branded spaces for the Exhibitions and Events Industry as well as Retail Pop Up and Fit Out Stores.
Reporting to our Managing Director, you’ll be working on a variety of campaigns, projects and events.
Your week will involve designing graphics and artwork for all Exhibition and Event Projects from Concept Design to Final Artwork Print Production.
You will also create and design visual assets for all COLAB DESIGN GROUP channels (webpage, social media, emails) and campaign material like direct-mail pieces, brochures, booklets, and event collateral.
You will be able to utilize your creative ideas to design the look and feel for all Client Projects (whilst adhering to corporate style-guides of each Brand) as well as contributing to the overall brand strategy of Colab Design Group, under the guidance of the Managing Director.
We are looking for someone who can also assist with some basic marketing tasks to help with the implementation of the busy marketing calendar. Marketing-related tasks will include things like, writing social media captions and posting to social media channels, setting up email marketing assets (that you’ve designed and created!) in Mailchimp or Email Campaign programs, and other general marketing admin tasks.
On average you’ll spend 70% of your week designing and creating artwork for projects and 30% of your week assisting with marketing tasks.
The role is being offered as Full-Time between 40-45 hours per week and will require you to be in the office to support collaboration with the in-house design team made up of Exhibition Designers and Interior Designers.
Key elements of the role include:
- Designing Graphics for Exhibition Stands and Event + Retail Displays - from concept to final printed artwork.
- Designing visual assets for marketing activities, including: website, email marketing, social media, digital apps, printed brochures.
- Writing captions and scheduling content for COLAB DESIGN GROUP social channels, newsletter and emails.
- Compiling content into Mailchimp or other email campaign software - for our Monthly eNewsletter.
- General administrative and scheduling tasks associated with the coordination of Marketing activity.
Essential Requirements
- Proficient in using the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop are a must!).
- A formal qualification in Graphic Design.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently as well as a desire to make contributions to our team environment.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to follow a creative brief.
Desired Requirements
- An understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Premier Pro and animation or a willingness to upskill in these areas if required.
- An understanding of Mailchimp or other Email Campaign Software.
- Experience with social media scheduling tools.
- Good copywriting skills
- Interest in Branded Spaces and Environments (Exhibitions and Events, Retail and Office Fit Out Spaces).
