Gifts to Give Australia Pty Ltd designs and manufactures unique themed gift collections. We service a broad range of clients nationally, with a focus on supporting schools to deliver quality Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls. Our gifts are also used by a range of aged care facilities, sporting clubs and associations so that everyone can partake in the joy of giving.
About the Role
Previously outsourced, this is a newly created role to support the expansion of our business. The successful applicant will be integral to the product development and design of our bespoke curated range of products. This role allows you to break out of traditional brand guidelines that could be found in other roles and use your creative flair to develop products from the ground up.
As a new role that is part of a small team, you will be required to be agile working closely with the Managing Director to take products from concept to manufacture working across product and packaging design. Once products are delivered, you will then work closely with the Sales & Marketing Director in the promotion and sales of the products.
This is a dynamic role where you will be doing a variety of design projects including product design, digital marketing and catalogues.
Key responsibilities
- Designs for various gift products and packaging in line with themed collections for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas
- Prepare print ready artwork for product and packaging to go to suppliers.
- Review sample products to ensure they have been produced in accordance with approved designs.
- Design and layout of printed material such as catalogues, brochures & flyers.
- Create and design digital marketing assets for social media, company website and EDM’s.
- Work to very specific deadlines to ensure manufacturing timelines are met.
- Maintain and work within our brand guidelines.
Skills and Experience
- At least 3-5 years in graphic design experience for products and print
- Packaging design experience highly desirable
- An ability to understand the various target markets we work with and presenting creative and innovative designs.
- Broad area of practical experience across web, product and print.
- Strong knowledge of print requirements and colour management for print.
- Solid time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive, with a positive attitude and a natural ability to take initiative.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to work with cultures where English is not their first language.
The role is a permanent part time role offering 30 hours per week
