The West Coast Eagles is an iconic Australian sporting brand with over 100,000 members. The Club formed in August 1986, playing its first official match for premiership points in 1987. Our women's side played its first game for AFLW premiership points in February 2020. Since then, the club has enjoyed significant success, winning premierships in 1992, 1994, 2006 and 2018. The club also has wide-spanning community and regional programs and is invested in a number of charity organisations, including the Waalitj Foundation.

About the role
The Club has a full-time permanent opportunity for a creative Graphic Designer to join the Consumer Business Department.
The role plays an important role in designing, developing and executing high quality, brand-aligned design for print and digital, across the Consumer business department for a range of purposes.
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing & Brand Optimisation you will be responsible for:
- Developing digital and design work to amplify consumer campaigns across Memberships, SuperStore, Events, Brand and Sustainability programs.
- Interpreting design briefs from internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing design concepts from scratch.
- Coordinating and prioritise graphic design requests, ensuring timely delivery.
- Being familiar with working and upholding brand guidelines and visual identity.
Due to the nature of the industry and this role, there is an inherent requirement to work home match days and other club events which will include working some evenings and weekends.
Our ideal person
This role will suit an individual who has an understanding of emerging trends and enjoys working proactively and collaboratively, in a fast paced environment. Additionally, you will have:
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Motion graphic skills including use of After Effects is highly regarded.
- Understanding of HTML and CSS is preferred but not necessary.
- Familiar with Content Management Systems and Email Marketing Platforms.
- Strong understanding of digital production/design/printing techniques.
- Ability to think creatively and translate ideas into actionable design concepts into print and digital media.
- Photographic experience would be well regarded.
- A strong portfolio of creative work across digital and print.
- Tertiary qualifications in graphic design, or related field, is preferred by not essential.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with impeccable attention to detail.
