Greenkeeper Apprentice

MVW Services Pty Ltd currently have an exciting opportunity for a Greenkeeper apprentice to join our team!  

You will be working alongside our highly skilled and qualified tradespeople learning and mastering your trade. 

Apprentice Greenkeeper:

• Enthusiastic about turf maintenance and working in a team environment.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously or as a part of a team.
• Willingness to develop new skills in turf management.
• A genuine interest in turf.
• Care for all turf areas and learn to apply pesticides and operate turf equipment.

Responsibilities for this position include:  

• To assist the turf manager to maintaining the designated turf areas to a high standard in a timely manner. 
• Grass cutting, use of machinery (using walk-behind mowers, edges and brush cutters)
• General tidying up and rubbish removal.  
• Weed control (manual removal and minor herbicide use).  
• Assure quality of work is performed to a high standard in accordance with expected standards.  
• Complete study and on job components to meet qualification requirements for Cert III Garden and Landscaping.
