The Fremantle Bowling Club is the oldest Bowling Club in Western Australia still in its original location and currently enjoys two superb Lawn Greens and one Synthetic green that is overlooked by the Fremantle Sport and Community Centre that also houses function rooms upstairs and downstairs along with two bar facilities for members of the Bowls Club, Tennis Club and Workers Club.
The Fremantle Bowling Club is growing and due to the pending relocation down south of our current Greenkeeper this exciting opportunity is now available. A full handover will be provided to the ensure a seamless transition for the successful candidate.
Reporting to the General Manager your Tasks and Responsibilities:
- The establishment and maintenance of Greens and gardens on club grounds to agreed standards.
- The upkeep and service of machinery and maintaining general maintenance of this equipment to perform daily tasks.
- Coordinating a wide range of turf maintenance and establishing activities, including.
- operating specialised machinery
- controlling weeds, pests and diseases
- constructing and cultivating turf playing surfaces
- maintaining irrigation systems
- machinery maintenance and repair
- OH&S management outdoors.
- Application of chemicals, correct storage and recording.
- presenting verbal and written reports back to management.
- Supervision in the operation and maintenance of pumps, irrigation and drainage systems.
- Supervision and training of all volunteer support team as and when required.
- Security of tools, keys and equipment.
