Maclean Golf Club is looking for a full time Greenkeeper/Groundsman to become a vital part of the golf course maintenance team.

This role involves a 38hour work week with a rotating roster for Saturday mornings to undertake a variety of tasks to ensure effective daily operations.
The successful applicant must possess the following:
- Previous experience in operating machinery
- The ability to maintain the golf course and surrounds to the highest possible standard.
- Available to work flexible hours and public holidays. A rotating weekend roster is necessary.
- Positive outgoing attitude ready to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Fit and capable to undertake labouring tasks such as whipper snipping, raking, hole changing, and other general duties.

Main Responsibilities
- Maintains golf course by mowing, trimming, top dressing, treating turf, maintenance of bunkers, hole changing, hedge trimming, and general maintenance.
- Operates golf course equipment.
- Participates in daily set up of the golf course for play.
- Mows greens, tees, aprons and approaches to greens, roughs, and other areas of the golf course.
- Aerifies greens, verticuts tees and greens, and spikes greens.
- Prepare and plant sod and seed to greens, tees, and fairways.
- Planting, trimming, mulching and fertilizing flowers, shrubs and trees.
- Keeps golf course maintenance equipment fuelled, oiled, and inspected.
- Cleaning and painting benches, poles, markers and signs.
- Keeping facilities and surrounding areas free from rubbish, litter, debris and weeds.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and materials.
- Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest; maintains effective guest relations.
- Performs special projects as delegated by the Head Green Keeper.
- Stays updated on latest developments pertinent to the department as well as the location.
- Performs related work and other duties as assigned by the Head Green Keeper.
- Follows reasonable directions from Head Green Keeper.
- Following applicable safety and environmental legislation, policies and procedures.
