This role is based at our Wonthaggi location.
Who we are looking for:
You have strong attention to detail and can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment during peak seasons. You are organised and able to prioritize your work through effective time management. Your ability to multitask allows you to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision. You take pride in a job well done and come to work each day with a positive attitude and work ethic. You have previous experience in a similar role and hold a current Victorian driver’s licence.
Patience and a helpful personality for the welfare of our guests, homeowners and your fellow team members will assist you in this role.
The role of Grounds and Maintenance can sometimes see a change in weekly casual hours due to seasonality of the Tourism Industry. You may be required to start earlier or work later in some instances during peak seasons.
About the role:
This is a ‘hands on’ position where you will contribute to making the park a warm and friendly environment for our guests. In conjunction with the Operations Manager, you will preserve the parks overall features and aesthetic appearance using creativity and initiative. Assisting with accommodation and facility repairs. You will support the ongoing upkeep and Maintenance of building, plant and equipment. Ensuring regular services and replacements are performed when necessary. Trade experience and/or qualification is required.
Regular duties of Grounds and Maintenance include:
- Deliver a high level of Customer Service to our guests and senior homeowners.
- Maintain park gardens, lawns, roads, gutters and pathways in accordance with policies.
- Maintain trees to ensure a safe environment for all guests and team members.
- Hedging, mowing, pruning, trimming and mulching throughout the park as required.
- Pest and weed control.
- Maintain building, plants, equipment and waste removal.
- Coordinate vehicle checks and services when necessary.
- Respond to urgent repairs for our guest accommodation.
- Be responsible with the use of all equipment.
