ISS Facility Services are encouraging Expressions of Interest from experienced horticulture professionals, to drive operational excellence across grounds maintenance within South Australia.
The fulltime roles will include general grounds work, grounds cleaning and gardening duties while driving visible improvement in standards of service to the customer. A strong focus on end-user experience and superior service quality as well as attention to detail will be key to success.
Key aspects of the role:
General works and maintenance programs e.g. Maintaining the gardens by undertaking general gardening duties such as:
- Weeding, mulching, planting, mowing, clipping and hedging plants, grounds cleaning and sweeping.
- Removal and replacement of plants
- Applying fertilisers and other chemical as per WHS requirements
- Watering plants, top soiling and removing raking leaves.
- Irrigation maintenance
- Waste and landfill duties as required and directed by management.
- Ensuring that works programs are maintained to the level as set per contract specifications.
- Ordering stock and maintain small machinery.
- Ensuring that the safety of personnel and public is maintained.
- General Hand duties and Utility duties as required.
- Monday to Friday & some periodical work will be required outside of work hours on a rotational basis
What will you possess to be successful?
- Highly desirable to have a cert III in Horticulture – not mandatory.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Safe Work Practices
- Experience in grounds work (Mowing, weed spraying, etc)
- Current Police Check (less than 3 months) & Working with Children Check
- Be physically fit and healthy.
- Can work in a team environment.
- Can work in a fast paced, time-managed environment.
- Be conditioned to work in extreme weather.
- Up to date immunisation records
- Work autonomously and be reactive to day-to-day requirements.
