Located on the Adelaide sand belt and established in 1923, the Kooyonga Golf Club is recognised internationally as one of Australia’s leading championship courses and private golf clubs having hosted five Men’s Australian Opens, one Women’s Australian Open and many other State and National golf events.
Committed to excellence throughout its highly rated golf course, state of the art practice facilities and expansive clubhouse and surrounds, we have an opportunity for a Grounds Person to join the Course Maintenance team, assisting to deliver what is acknowledged as one of the best presented courses in the country.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Being hands on in the maintenance and presentation of the golf course, practice facilities, clubhouse gardens and surrounds
- Maintenance of the vast areas of native vegetation and trees throughout the property
- Operation and/or use of a wide range of plant, equipment and hand tools
- Application of pesticides and fertilisers
What the club needs from you:
- Being physically fit to undertake all duties
- To be a self-motivated, proactive and supportive contributor in a team environment
- Willingness to gain knowledge and experience in all aspects of fine turf maintenance
- Excellent communication skills
- A current C class drivers license
- To maintain compliance with work health safety and environmental regulations
- A certificate in Horticulture (or similar field) is desirable but not essential
This is a full time, 38 hour per week position,with early morning starts. With some advance notice, paid weekday overtime and regular rostered weekend work is a requirement of the position.
