Groundskeeper / Gardener

Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd is situated in Mackay Queensland and operates 2 aged care facilities, Good Shepherd Lodge and Kerrisdale Gardens.  We provide beds and retirement villages.  Our purpose is to provide a caring, safe and stimulating environment that supports our residents to live their later years to the fullest.  Both sites provide a beautiful living and working environment for residents and staff. 

We are currently seeking a full time Groundskeeper / Gardener to work from Monday to Friday at Good Shepherd Lodge and Kerrisdale Gardens.

You will be part of an existing gardening team that is passionate about keeping a beautiful garden and landscape for our residents and staff.

To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Formal qualifications in Horticulture or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience.
• Experience in the use of gardening equipment, tools and machinery.
• The ability to follow directions and work to a schedule in maintaining our large landscaped grounds.
• Proven ability to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive and “can-do” attitude.
• It would be envisaged that you would show pride in your workmanship of the grounds.
• Evidence of three (3) Covid vaccinations and an annual flu vaccination. 
• Police Check Clearance.
• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing. 
• Must have your own car and be able to drive a manual vehicle.
