Reporting to the Property Manager, the Maintenance Technician will oversee and initiate maintenance, landscaping and general repairs for the entire property and fulfill the company's responsibilities to its residents at our Breakaway Bays and Crestway Bays communities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Grounds maintenance and landscaping of the property. Repairs and maintenance of all community buildings and equipment. Maintaining all Health & Safety requirements of the Community and Community Buildings Maintaining the cleanliness of bathrooms and showers in the community common areas Testing and balancing of pool chemicals Ensuring ongoing communication with Manager. Respond to requests from manager with courtesy and in a timely manner Responsible for maintenance and cleaning of work area, tools and equipment. Interact with community residents with patience and courtesy Operate within the applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies at all times. Be prepared to accept after hour calls and act on emergencies as required. Other duties as required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience; Clean Driver’s Abstract and Clean background/criminal check required. SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to lift, push and pull up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs infrequently Excellent oral & written communication skills. Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills. Must be able to complete pool training course post hire Ability to prioritize and manage daily tasks and projects effectively. Consistently punctual with strong time management abilities.
