The Opportunity
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Groundsperson to join our Facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and safety of our College grounds and buildings, contributing to a welcoming and secure environment for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the College grounds, including mowing, landscaping, and general upkeep.
- Support the maintenance and repair of College buildings and facilities.
- Ensure the security of the College premises, responding to alarms and patrolling the grounds.
- Assist with the setup and teardown for College events and activities.
- Provide backup support as a bus driver (full training provided).

Qualifications and Attributes Required
- Current first aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
- Possession of an LR or MR driver’s license (or willingness to obtain).
- Bus Industry Authorization (or willingness to obtain).
- Minimum Certificate II in Horticulture or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience in turf management and horticulture.
- Ability to operate and maintain gardening and maintenance machinery.
- Strong work ethic, physical capability for manual tasks, and a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Alignment with the Christian and Lutheran ethos and values of the College.
