Form of workWe are searching for a skilled Groundsperson with an MR Licence to join our Tree Care & Services company, depot based in Rochedale and working throughout the Greater Brisbane region. Duties include reporting to the Foreman, assisting Arborists, collecting and piling branches, maintaining tools and equipment, driving a truck & chipper, and ensuring hazard-free work areas. You will be working with a great team of crew members and provided with full-time hours from Monday to Friday.
To be successful for this position, you should be physically strong and able to work in extreme Qld weather conditions. Outstanding ground labour should be able to carry out instructions efficiently and complete all maintenance tasks to the highest standard.
Your Responsibilities:
• drive truck and chipper to sites;
• carry out all maintenance duties allocated by the Foreman;
• understand and carry out verbal and written instructions;
• assist arborists with tree removals, pruning & debris disposal;
• learn techniques and the proper use of tools from senior or more experienced crew members;
• safely use tools and equipment like chippers and chainsaws to carry our tasks;
• ensure all sites are kept clean and free of hazards;
• inspect equipment and tools and perform repairs and maintenance when required;
• use the appropriate gear and observe safety protocols;
• report any issues or safety hazards to the Foreman and other relevant crew;
• adhering to company and environmental regulations at all times
Requirements:
• valid MR truck licence
• good physical strength, fitness, vision, and hearing
• superb communication skills
• a positive attitude
