Groundwater Field Technician

About the roleWe are now recruiting an Groundwater Field Technician to perform groundwater monitoring activities download and calibrate monitoring instrumentation, perform surface water monitoring, and water quality sampling. This is a challenging role largely dependent on fieldwork which includes, hiking, working from boats, 4WDi'ng and working in remote areas.This role is based in Mildura, will involve working alone and part of a team across locations in Northern Western Vic and from time-to-time central VIC. The successful applicant will be required to stay away overnight from time to time. Collect and verify environmental data using specialist software packages and scientific instruments, Accurate Record keeping including field notes, photographs, and maps, Assisting in the upgrade of old, and installation of new environmental monitoring equipment, including the use of a wide range of hand and power tools. About You Proficient in the use of hand, power, and pneumatic tools or willingness to learn. Environmental science or Trade quals and/or experience, A proactive mindset, able to work both independently and co-operatively, Able to work in very remote locations with extended overnight stays.
