ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Group Fitness Coach to lead a range of Group Fitness classes per week. Take the classes by the reigns and treat them like your own. The classes are scheduled at various times, including both AM and PM sessions. Classes are preplanned and we require a coach to execute these. Our coaches are integral to everything we do - sharing their knowledge, demonstrating their skills, and bringing energy, confidence and a fun attitude to our community.
You'll join a team of coaches who share an excitement for progression-based group training, working alongside our Club Manager and owners to ensure the highest training standards are upheld as we continue to grow. Our coaches live and breathe our group training, and we expect nothing less.
Day-to-day you'll be responsible for delivery of The Workouts programs. With many different classes on offer. You must able to clearly and confidently manage large, dynamic groups, while also providing individual attention to members across each session.
This is a casual opportunity with 20+ hours per week available with potential to grow for the right candidate.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and assist exercise demonstration and delivery of daily programs, safely and effectively.
- Maintain a high standard of club presentation, including daily equipment set up and pack down, regular cleaning and notification of maintenance items.
- Drive member engagement and foster positive relationships with all members, including during club challenges.
- Ensure a positive team environment and uphold club training standards.
- Drive ongoing club and member growth and development.
- Play an active role in managing our social media channels and community outreach / engagement activities.
- Conducting high-energy and dynamic Group Fitness classes.
- Providing clear instructions and guidance to participants.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants during classes.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive environment for members.
- Staying up to date with industry trends and incorporating new elements into classes.
- Flexibility in working AM & PM classes.
- Ability to earn additional income through growing your own client base if you desire.
ABOUT YOU
You'll have the personality, confidence and knowledge to deliver an exceptional training experience. At a Minimum, you'll possess:
- Experience in Group Training (applications without experience will not be considered)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Blue card or willingness to obtain.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work well in a team.
- High proficiency in written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to continually learn and adapt to the Workouts way of coaching.
- High motivation, passion for the health and fitness industry, and a commitment to changing lives.
- Can-do attitude
- Flexibility to adapt and willingness to go beyond the role's responsibilities, as well as confidence, energy and a desire to have fun.
- Exceptional customer service, sales skills, and high level of integrity. (Preferred, not essential)
