About the Centre
Bass Coast Y provides members and patrons with health club (and members with the option of 24/7 health club access), aqua and dry Group Fitness classes, stadium and a six lane indoor 25m heated pool. In addition, Bass Coast Y offers families swimming lessons - both child and adult.
About the role
As our Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for leading a variety of Group Fitness classes and coaching a wide range of clients. You must have exceptional communication skills to effectively inform and demonstrate the benefits of participating in our classes. You must also be organised to ensure that our classes run smoothly and efficiently.

This is a casual position, with an hourly rate of $53.84 + super.
About you
As our Group Fitness Instructor you will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for health and fitness. You will possess exceptional communication skills and can effectively motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals. You will have a deep understanding of various training styles and methods, and can cater to the needs of a wide range of clients during our classes.
Our ideal candidate is also highly organised, able to manage their time effectively, and can ensure the smooth running of our classes.
Above all, you will be a team player who can bring your own positive energy and enthusiasm to our team!
You will need experience in taking Group Fitness classes to be successful in this role.
Essential Qualifications
- Certificate III in Fitness or approved equivalent
- Certificate IV in Fitness or approved equivalent (completed or working towards completion)
- Current AUSactive membership
- CPR certificate
- First Aid certificate
- 20 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) every two years, in order to maintain your accredited Fitness Industry registration.
