- Lead a global high-performing team with deep energy and carbon market expertise, seamlessly balancing the ability to think strategically with the discipline to develop and execute well-thought-through plans and have strong engagement and influencing skills.
- Working closely with Operations, Projects, and Functions to develop Group and asset-level energy and decarbonisation strategies and asset-level energy and carbon offset plans.
- Providing the risk leadership necessary for effective management of South32's Energy and Carbon supply chain risk, including commercial oversight of energy and carbon-related agreements and book management. These plans support the delivery of South32's sustainability objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with our internal and external stakeholders necessary to deliver on our priorities through innovative and collaborative partnerships.
- Strong leadership skills that position you to successfully lead diverse teams with a broad group of internal and external stakeholders.
- Results orientated, comfortable with complexity and uncertainty, and possessing a growth mindset that enables you to push performance to new levels consistently.
- Successfully developing strategies and then plans to deliver them, commercially astute and a strong communicator.
- ≥15 years in the resources, energy or carbon sector, ≥10 years leading teams, with experience across jurisdictions, ≥5 years of commercial experience with a proven record of value realisation.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Commerce, Finance, Law, or related disciplines
