The Opportunity The Group Manager Security is responsible for the physical security of the University including managing security incidents that may threaten people, property, reputation or operations. The incumbent is required to be “on call” 24/7 to support the Senior Executive and relevant teams.
As a key responder managing a large team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery and continuous improvement of 24/7 operational physical security services. You will proactively build a culture of security awareness and formulate annual budget submissions and strategic initiative proposals alongside the Director and Executive Director The successful candidate will have extensive management experience in a law enforcement or security management role in a large, complex environment or a combination of relevant education and experience.
Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as is demonstrating exceptional negotiation and consulting skills to achieve the University’s objectives. You will also have motivated and mentored a team of security and emergency management leaders. Diversity is one of our greatest strengths at Monash.
