Bindaree Food Group (BFG) is a vertically integrated supply chain business delivering global meat solutions both domestically and internationally and has solidified its position as a prominent leader in the Australian meat industry. We supply high quality meat products to some impressive customers including ALDI, Coles and McDonalds. We operate six sites in Australia including a feedlot, two processing facilities and an retail ready production and packaging site.
This newly created position will provide governance, process alignment and technical expertise across our Return To Work program and oversees the development and implementation of our wellbeing program. While the role will not have any direct reports, it will work closely with dedicated Return To Work coordinators at each site.
This is a hybrid role working part-office, part-home and may be filled from Inverell, Brisbane or Burleigh Heads and will be required to travel on occasion to our sites located in QLD and NSW.
Key elements of the role include:
- Overseeing the management of injury claims and the return-to-work process
- Providing authoritative advice to the business on regulatory obligations relating to injury management and prevention.
- Developing and manage the BFG Injury Management Standard and framework.
- Training and communicating with the team to support understanding and adherence to the BFG Injury Management Standard.
- Supporting injured workers with claim lodgement and timely access to medical treatment providers for improved rehabilitation outcomes.
- Identify emerging injury risks, escalations, and develop prevention plans.
- Provide reporting and analytics that provides insights and learnings for injury management and wellbeing.
- Identify and engage health professionals for injury prevention, treatment, and the pre-employment process.
- Manage relationship with the Employee Assistance Program and ensure maximum utility
- Develop group wellbeing program and drive initiatives
About you:
- You have a background in Return To Work, rehabilitation and / or insurance
- You have an excellent track record of reducing claims numbers and driving workers compensation premiums down
- You are great at building relationships and rapport
- You may come from an allied health background although not essential
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or experience in the meat industry will be highly regarded
